RISKS AND REWARDS OF INVESTING

There is no overnight formula that immediately makes someone a good investor. It takes time to fully understand many of the issues associated with investment. Some people can be lucky, but many have experienced the painful lesson that most investors have learnt - preservation of your capital is the key element to investing.

Some people don’t properly understand the risks associated with their investments. This means they’re either exposing themselves to too much risk (without even being aware of it) or are being too conservative and not achieving the returns that they could get if they had a better understanding of the risks involved.

Investors ought to be constantly trying to increase their investment knowledge so that they can become or remain successful investors. QIC Inc. is the perfect place to do so.

WHO CAN MANAGE MY INVESTMENTS?

Since investing involves taking risks, and as it’s your money at stake, you’re the best person to determine what your risk/reward mix ought to be. Therefore, it’s in your best interest to learn as much as possible about the risks and rewards of your investments. Don’t outsource your total life savings to a third party without first fully understanding your risks/rewards. No matter who manages your hard-earned savings, if things go bad, you still end up wearing the risk of any losses.

WHERE DO I LEARN MORE ABOUT INVESTING?

Fortunately, investors obtain excellent information from sources such as websites and clubs like the QIC Inc. Our club presentations and member interactions help members increase their investment knowledge and help them better understand the risks/rewards of their investments. Think of it as continuing professional development for investors.
