Peter Munckton is the Chief Economist and Head of Market Strategy at the Bank of Queensland (BOQ).
He has also worked at the Federal Treasury in Canberra, as well as in senior economics roles at Bankers Trust and the CBA.
He co-authored reports on the Australian and Chinese financial systems that gained significant domestic and international media attention.
Bank of Queensland was established in 1874 and was the first Permanent Building Society in Queensland.
During BOQ’s long history, it has evolved from a Queensland focused, retail branch-based bank to a national diversified financial services business with a focus on niche commercial lending segments.
It also operates a number of specialist subsidiaries and brands including Virgin Money Australia, BOQ Finance and BOQ Specialist.
